After hemming and hawing over downsizing to a netbook for my travel needs I took the plunge with this little Gateway AND COULDN'T BE MORE PLEASED. It has all the capabilities of a regular laptop except it fits nicely into my handbag - a plus when you are on and off planes as often as I am. Also I am happily surprised by the very useable keyboard. It is small but is still big enough to type at normal speed. The only flaw which I have found so far is not with the machine but with the pre-installed version of Windows media. I attempted to play a Netflix DVD and Windows Media could not read the disc. I downloaded Cyberlink 9.0 for $49.99 and all my "video" problems have been solved. I also picked up a Slim Portable USB 2.0 External CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive to download existing software and play/burn DVDs/CDs. It installed quickly & flawlessly. I also ordered a Crucial 2GB SoDimm for this unit which has yet to arrive and honestly if I weren't so anal about loading speeds I could really get by without a RAM upgrade.Overall for the price I'd say GO FOR IT if you're looking for a fully functioning laptop in a small package!PS Oh yeah the video quality is fantastic too plus plug in a set of stereo earbuds and you can immerse yourself in your own little video heaven whereever you might go!
